KAR and 81 Speedway Announces The
2nd Annual
All Vintage
Bill Hall Memorial
September 26, 27, 28, 2008

Schedule
Pit gate opens at 4 pm on Friday and 11 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday Evening: Test and Tune.
Saturday Afternoon: Test, Tune and novelty (mechanics race, powder puff).
Saturday Evening: Will be running with an open wheel program (TBA).
Sunday Afternoon: Vintage full race program and awards.

KAR and 81 Speedway invite you to join in and bring your vintage car. The event is open to all midgets, sprinters, big cars, champ cars, modifieds, super modifieds roadsters and speedsters (pre-1978). This is primarily a non caged event for the midgets, sprints, roadsters, but if you have a caged car, you can run with other caged cars or with the modifieds. NO STOCK CARS OR DOWN TUBES OR BEADLOCKS, OR COAL SHUTE HOODS OR WINGS. This is VINTAGE OPEN WHEEL. Tire width limitations shall be 10" for midgets, 12" for sprints, roadsters and modifieds and 14" on supers and champs. As you know, even these sizes are to big, but are allowed for safety and economy. An attempt will be made to match cars and drivers from a performance standpoint. You can let us know if you have a preference as to your grouping.
To cover insurance and utilities, a $25 per car registration fee will be charged and pit passes will be $10, but will be good for the entire 3-day event. Be sure to keep your pit pass wrist band on for all three days--to avoid paying twice. All participants will be covered by the 81 Speedway insurance both as to liability and $50,000 in medical coverage. We trust that everyone will use good judgement and no coverage will be needed, but it is good to have.
Mills Mediation Services and Evans Building Company are hosting a trackside, catered dinner on Saturday at 5pm. Your pit pass will cover your admission.
81 Speedway is a 3/8 mile medium banked clay oval and has been in operation for more than fifty years. This track has a rich history in open wheel. The track is operated and owned by C. Ray Hall and his family and C. Ray is a second-gerneration promoter, following in the footsteps of his father, the late Bill Hall. There are only a few promoters who survive years of race promotions and still hold a fond spot in the hearts of the many racers who came through the gates. You won't find a racer anywhere who raced at 81 or the hundreds of NCRA sanctioned events (Bill Hall was a founder of NCRA) who doesn't hold admiration for the fair and honest manner in which Bill Hall ran his program. KAR and the HALL FAMILY ARE PROUD to host this ALL VINTAGE open wheel program as the SECOND ANNUAL BILL HALL MEMORIAL to honor the memory of this good man who loved open wheel racing and gave so much to the sport.
You can camp at the track, but no hook-ups. You can leave cars and trailers at the track with 24-hour security. There is an rv park with a few miles of the track.
