When someone talks about the supermodified racing in the 60's and the 70's, the name Harold Leep is the one people remember and talk about the most. This page is about one of the most successful drivers of that era, whether it be in the supers or the sprints in the 60's.

Harold Leep was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville IA in 2000.

Harold Leep from Wichita, KS drove the Ray Cates #2 to victory in the 1972 Hutch Nationals. Harold had already won the Hutch Nationals twice in 1961 and 1967.

This is the #2 owned by Aaron Madden and driven by Harold Leep to the 1973 NCRA Championship. Harold recorded 4 A Feature wins, and many main events across the area. In late July Harold retired from racing for the first time, but still had enough points to win the NCRA Championship.
