Texas Super Modifieds
Lap #2

For a complete list of pages at Racing From The Past return to the Home Page.

In the #17 out of Mesquite Texas it's Johnny Suggs. I don't believe this was Johnny's regular ride in 1977, but he was in it at the OKC Winternationals. I believe Shady McWhorter drove this car at Devils Bowl.

In the #55 from Wichita Falls TX, it's Freddie Street. He would have won this heat race, if hadn't been for local favorite Buck Cadwell making a rare super appearance, and running away with the win.

I know it's not a super, but in the #77 Pants West sprinter from Mesquite Tx, it's Johnny Suggs.

Johnny is still at it and winning in 2001. Johnny has been one of the best open wheel pilots for the last 42 years.

The #46 with new colors and a new owner, Gene Buchanan. This was Randy Willinghams #6 before he sold it to Gene. Randy was piloting it at the 79 NCRA event at Amarillo. Gene drove it at the weekly shows I believe.
