Here's another Mike Eastman owned car. This car is a midget built in 1940 by Pete Neilsen, in Milwaukee, WI. He built two almost identical cars that winter. One was for Ray Richards & this one was for himself. They were both sponsored by Bob Wilke, of Leader Card fame. They both originally had Offy engines. Pete raced this car until 1946, when he was killed at Crown Point, IN. in another midget. Kenny York owned & raced the car until about 1948, when Reliable Welding in Hinsdale, IL. bought it. Reliable replaced the Offy with a Ford V8-60 & raced it until about 1954. Johnny Meyer drove it for Reliable. Max Reichenbach re-bodied the car in 1954, while he worked at Reliable, much as he did the sister car in 1953. The car pretty much sat until Mike bought it in 1990 & restored it. Mike races it in vintage outings throughout the midwest with several clubs.

Another on from the Mike Eastman Collection. This car is a 1968 Edmunds Supermodified. It was built in 1968 to run at Manzanita Raceway in Phoenix, AZ. Mike does know that for a few years the Glendale, AZ Police Dept. used it for a D.A.R.E. vehicle at local shows & races. It still had all of the D.A.R.E. decals & lettering on it when Mike bought it. Mike restored it to race ready & ran it in the midwest at vintage shows. It has a 350ci. SBC & automatic trans. If you viewers have any history on this car send Mike an e-mail with what you know. This particular pic was taken at Winchester, IN.

Dennis Anton of Kinsley, Kansas ran this super in the late 60's on the Merrick Circuit and the area.
During this time frame Gerald Grady ran the #66 with Merrick. I guess this why Dennis ran the #666. Just my guess? I have know idea who owns this car?? But it's a sweet looking super of the days. Still had the sedan look.
